Curriculum
Play is recognised as one of the most powerful tools for learning and as such is highly valued. We work according to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
Guided by the early learning goals of the foundation stage in our activities, resources and teaching, we will focus on:
Communication and Language
Skills to be developed - listening and speaking confidently.
PRIME AREAS
Personal, social, emotional development
Increasing self-confidence: reinforcing the difference between right and wrong; being considerate to others; increasing independence.
Physical Development
Through a variety of activities we will help your child develop fine and gross motor skills.

Expressive Arts and Design
We develop creativity through art, music and stories, drawing and painting.
Mathematics
Using stories, songs, imaginative play to develop an awareness of numbers, and concepts of weight, shapes, size, patterns, etc.
Understanding the World
Helping children explore and understand the world around them- through themes such as transport, farming, mini-beasts, different cultures, past events in their lives.
Literacy
The beginnings of writing, enjoying books and reading.
